Our 8″ Smudge Bag Kit consists of a front and back piece of moose leather, a moose leather strap, Sinew, glovers needles AND very careful clear instructions on how to assemble your bag. The kit also include a fan (that we make for you) and farmed abalone shell and a linen bag of Californian Buffalo/White Sage.

One of the handiest things around the fire or gathering is a nice smudge kit or medicine bag. Our pre-made kit includes a Moose Bag that we make, and a farmed abalone shell, sage and a small feather fan. Recently we have had several people ask if they could make it themselves….and who are we to say no!! So, our new 8″ Smudge Bag Kit consists of a front and back piece of leather (to be hand sewn together to create the bag), a moose leather strap (to be sewn into the side of the bag), Sinew, glovers needles AND very careful clear instructions on how to assemble your bag. The kit also includes a fan (that we make for you with wild turkey and goose feathers), a farmed abalone shell and a linen bag of Californian Buffalo/White Sage. We also suggest several different finishing techniques so that everyone can personalize their own bag. Making the bag is an easy project that will make a great afternoon for the family or workshop.

  I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit.  The quality is  amazing, and the variety is much appreciated.  I also really love the traditional medicines they have available. There is often a kind note in the delivery - handwritten telling you that they sent a little extra. 🥺 As a customer, I feel a connection with this store - from the descriptions they create to describe a colour of hide, to the small batch herbal remedies, to the very fast response and kind you’ll receive if you have a question.  10 stars.

  I only order my mitt and mocc leather from tribal Spirit. The owners are phenomenal and very invested and proud. I have been ordering from them every year for about 6 years and there has never been an issue they couldn't fix.   I'm a first time beader making my first pair of plains style moccasins, and looked for a reputable brand with good prices for quality leather. Tribal Spirit did not disappoint!
