Glovers Needles are for sewing leather. Each needle has a point with 3 sides to it which cuts easily through leather. Glover needle sizing are inverse of common sense. The largest needle is sized # 3 and the smallest is # 9. The most common needle size for sewing leather is either 5 or 6.
