Limestone ‘Moose Tanned’ Cow 3.5 ounce

NEW COLOUR ALERT:  Sometimes naming a new colour is tricky.  This leather is darker then cream  but lighter than medium tan…so what to do?  Well, the tannery that ‘invented’ this colour is in Kamouraska Quebec which happens to be host to very dramatic costal Limestone Cliffs that are famous locally in the Mountain Climbing community.  This new leather is very much Limestone in colour and when we did a pantone colour search…the internet agreed. This leather is very beautiful, it has extremely perfect membrane and is very soft. At 3.5 -4 ounce it is perfect for moccasins or mitts or bags of any kind.  Perfect for production work. This will also be perfect for any upholstery or cushion work. Oh and they are huge, check the tape measure, these hides are between 8 and 9 feet long.

We are happy to introduce ‘Moose Tanned’ Cow.  This leather is kinda a deep fake on moose leather.  It look and feel exactly like moose…but they are HUGE.  ‘Moose Tanned’ Cow is very popular for production work or crafting when you really need lots of leather but you don’t want to deal with waste.  Working with wild hides always is a challenge when doing you have to make a TON of something.  For example if a school that needs to make 200 pairs, of Moccasins working with ‘moose’ cow is MUCH more efficient that with wild moose hides.  3.5 ounce is more suitable for moccasin or mitts.
