Brand New sizes. We have been making our 16″ whtie ash frame for a few years and it is very very popular. BUT I have to admit it is kinda heavy. Some singers find it too much. SO, we FINALLY found some time and made a new 14″ frame.

We are using Elk Hide on these drums and specifically selecting the thicker part between the shoulders. The white ash is a hard wood which helps the hide produce a deep rich tone. We always wrap our hide over to the back of the drum, because this makes a stronger, longer lasting drum. Add a Patchwork moose drum bag to protect your drum and get $25 off the set. Nous vivons dans les montagnes Laurentiennes, au nord de Montréal, où les frênes blancs sont abondants. Nous avons un agriculteur local qui gère sélectivement sa forêt et récolte peu d’arbres par année. Nous avons acheté ce bois il y a plusieurs années et nous l’avons fait sécher à l’air libre au-dessus de notre atelier. Nous avons ensuite coupé, raboté, puis recoupé et créé un tambour à cadre de 16 côtés de 16 » de diamètre et 3 » de profondeur.

  I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit.  The quality is  amazing, and the variety is much appreciated.  I also really love the traditional medicines they have available.
