Bear Grease is BACK IN STOCK. As we have mentioned before….we are not hunters but we are VERY good gatherers. All of our hides, feathers and bear grease come from local hunters who are feeding their families but would have discarded these ‘left overs’. Last fall we are very very slow bear hunt in Quebec due to the forest fires that burned all summer of 2023. SO that meant the bear population was particularly strong this spring. SO we have LOTS of bear fat now. This Bear Grease is from the Spring of 2024 hunt. Many claim that the spring harvest of fat is more potent than the fall.
Bear Grease is a traditional Indigenous medicine. Black Bears have an unusual amount of fat on their bodies because they spend summers building up energy for hibernation. Over the winter Bears survive on this energy through their fat build up. Our Bear Grease is 100% pure Bear Grease. It contains no preservatives or any other additives and must be stored in a fridge or freezer.
