July 2024 Harvest
This is ‘on the stem’ Prairie Sage. The leaves are very small and easily peeled from the stem. We left the leaves on in this round of harvest because the stems are still pliable and able to be formed into crowns. (Sundance) This sage is easily rolled into a ball and often used in Pipe ceremony. We harvested it in Saskatchewan. We run out of prairie sage every year….you have been warned…lol…
