Buffalo Hide – Native Hand Drum Kit

We are thrilled to introduce Buffalo Hide Hand Drum Kits to our collection. 

Each kit includes a buffalo rawhide circle which is big enough to wrap all the way over the side of the back of the drum (this makes a drum that has a longer life and has less problems with humidity), holes punched, extra strong lacing to handle the strength of buffalo with enough to weave a handle, an over built white ash hoop (we make a white ash hoops designed specifically for buffalo drums, thicker and deeper again to handle the strength of buffalo hide) AND a drum stick kit.

We are offering 4 different sizes:

12″ Buffalo is a small drum that has an intense tighter tone.  This drum is most popular for sweat lodge, but is also a loud drum, for its size, if you need a small travelling drum.

14″ Buffalo is a versatile drum, great for both sweat lodge but also has a very nice tone.

15″ Buffalo is starting to get louder and more powerful.  Give a great boom, rich tone and still not too heavy on the arm. If you want a big boom but are not too strong then go for a 15″.

17″ Buffalo is our big boomer.  Our favourite of all our drums.  Big huge boom, loudest drum at the circle, but it is a little heavy….you need a strong arm to play a 17″ buffalo for an evening.
