It has been a few years since we have been able to have access to bison hides. An odd effect of COVID was that because of the closing of restaurants, bison farmers reduced their herds because of the lack of demand for Bison Meat. But now that life is back to ‘normal’ the buffalo are beginning to roam again.
These hides are just perfect….#1, and perfectly suited for rug or wall or for covering a lodge. (but not for a bed covering the tanning is a bit stiff) In each hide there are a few holes in the skin (this is normal in the skinning process) but they have been sewn up very well.
