Product Description

Now we are getting into our medium sized drums. Once the boys start heading into their teen years or the group gets up to 8 singers, then this 26” x 17″ is perfect. It is a very flexible drum because it is still not huge but offers heavier tones than the smaller drums.

Drum includes either a block or suspended style stand as well as a custom design of frame colour and dyed or natural hide.

Eastern White Cedar Barrel Style Drum: Our solid cedar frame is a more traditional style drum. The tone that it gives is more of a BOOM than a THUD. There is more echo to the barrel style. For northern style songs our smaller drums between 24″ up to 30″ are more common in traditional gatherings. Southern style are more into larger drums 32 up to 36″. Our Barrel style drums are heavier, weighing 20 up to 35 pounds.

Raised Edge Powwow Drums: We make these drums with a cedar and plywood interior frame wrapped with Maple veneer Flex-Ply. This is an architectural plywood designed to bend. This drum is more popular for Northern Contemporary Powwow style songs. The tone is quicker and more of a THUD than a BOOM.
