FULL Moose Hide Split (suede both sides) Pumpkin Spice???

Full disclosure on the colour: The tannery calls it “Tobacco”, but the moment autumn hits the workshop, we couldn’t resist calling it “Pumpkin Spice.” It’s the exact same rich, earthy shade—just wearing a chunky knit sweater and holding a latte.

Joking aside, this is serious Moose Split! Split leather gives you that buttery suede finish on both sides, and finding entire full hides is a rare treat. While they don’t run quite as massive as full grain hides (smooth on one side, suede on the other), they make up for it in texture: beautifully consistent, ultra-soft, and an absolute pleasure to craft with.

The item I got surpassed my expectations. The gasp I gasped when I opened the box and removed the paper! This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and it was a pleasure to engage with the staff via email when I had questions. I will treasure this piece and be returning for more!

The custom painted horse in the spirit of my wife's late horse brings her joy every time she uses it. It's going on over a year old with heavy use and it looks as perfect as the day I unwrapped it from being shipped.

I buy all the hide and fur I use for making moccasins from Tribal Spirit. The quality is amazing, and the variety is much appreciated. I also really love the traditional medicines they have available. There is often a kind note in the delivery - handwritten telling you that they sent a little extra. 🥺 As a customer, I feel a connection with this store - from the descriptions they create to describe a colour of hide, to the small batch herbal remedies, to the very fast response and kind you’ll receive if you have a question. 10 stars.
