Our raised edge drums are 20″ high The rim at the top and the bottom of the frame are thicker than the middle of the frame. Thus “Raised Edge”. The tone on a raised edge is slightly more on a thud and less boom. Popular with Northern Style Powwow Singing raised edge are lighter in weight than our barrel style. We redesigned our raised edge drum using a maple wood bendable Flex Plywood that again makes the drum lighter in weight than our sold cedar frame.
