Gold ‘Deer Tanned’ Cow 1.5 ounce

We are happy to re-introduce ‘Deer Tanned’ Cow.  This leather is kinda a deep fake on deer leather.  It look and feel exactly like deer…but they are HUGE.  But this ‘deet tanned cow’ is extra special becasue it is 1.5 ounce.   Which means that it is VERY thin.  Making this leather is very tricky.  Cow is of course generally quite a thick hide.  But at the tannery we do a douple soak and split to bring it down the 1.5 ounce. Quite a bit more leather but omg the result.  Ultra soft and perfect for very fine leather work.  Regalia, fine gloves, doll work etc.  This leather is perfect.  And Super huge pieces making production work very easy…not holes on this leather!!.  ‘Deer Tanned’ Cow is very popular for production work or crafting when you really need lots of leather but you don’t want to deal with waste.  Working with wild hides always is a challenge when doing you have to make a TON of something.  For example if a school that needs to make 200 medicine pouches, working with ‘deer tanned’ cow is MUCH more efficient that with wild deer hides.
